NDSA was chartered March 24, 1996 by 43 illustrious members. Charter Members and their mission. These sorors were dedicated to the mission of our sisterhood and today has grown to 78 chapter members and 4 member-at-large members. The chapter has implemented several programs under the Five Point Program Thrust umbrella including two signature programs. They are Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy and Rise and Fly Together (R.A.F.T.). The chapter awarded eight college scholarships to high school seniors who graduated in 1998 and sent a representative to Washington, D.C. to participate with Delta Days at the Capital. The chapter has donated food baskets, gifts, and toys to many families through Hamilton Park United Methodist Church and the Family Place Agency. The majority of the chapter has been deputized to register voters with in Dallas and Collin Counties. These are our current Chapter Officers.
